Luke was angry that his plan with Mr Agabus had failed. Mr Abagus had promised to give him a big promotion if he helped him to successfully have Miya in his bed. Luke immediately agreed. After all he was engaged to Tiffany Mr Abagus daughter and so he will do anything to please his future father in-law. Luke and Mr Abagus had planned it out. He will put a drug in Miya’s drink and later have her in one of the hotel rooms and by the time Miya wakes up the next morning, she will not remember a thing. Luke had played his part last and left Miya and Mr Agabus alone. And so he was shocked when Mr Abagus called him and informed him that the plan failed. He wondered what might happen. Nevertheless, Luke plans to play ignorant to Miya so that she won’t suspect he had a hand in what happened. And Just as he predicted, Miya came knocking at the door of his house early in the morning. She was still in her dress from last night. Miya explained to him that she didn’t know what happened to her yesterday or how she ended up in one of the hotel rooms. Miya left out the part about where she woke up with a stranger man laying on the bed with her or about the kiss she shared with the stranger this morning. Miya didn’t want anything to spoil their perfect relationship Luke explained to Miya that she fell asleep last night and so he brought her into one of the rooms to sleep there. Miya wasn’t totally convinced with what he said but she refrained from commenting because she didn't want to talk about the stranger in the room with her. Luke smiled at how foolish Miya is. He couldn’t believe that she brought what she said. But then he wasn’t surprised because Miya is hopelessly in love with him and always believes what he says. Obviously, the plan had failed, and Luke had to arrange another meeting with Mr Abagus to apologize to him. He told Miya that she needed to apologize to Mr Abagus for falling asleep in an important meeting. Even though Miya hated it, she knew she had to go with Luke. During the meeting, Herman one of the big directors of Mr Abagus company, got a phone call, and after which, he exclaimed happily, "Mr Abagus, I've got good news! We have been trying every way to get the chance to meet Xenon Uba and haven't had much luck. But his assistant right hand man Mr Levi just called me and said Xenon Uba had invited us to meet at his club!" Mr Agabus, Luke, as well as other big bosses, i was very excited. Though Mr Abagus was a bit dubious about it, he wouldn't take the risk of missing such a great opportunity. Everyone had heard about the Uba’s in the whole world especially about the two brothers, Xenon Uba and Jameson Uba. Jameson Uba was the younger son, a total troublemaker and a heavy gambler who was notorious for the disastrously extravagant lifestyle. The older son, Xenon Uba, however, had earned himself an impressive reputation and people looked up to him in the business field. The group hurried to meet Xenon while Miya followed unwillingly. Luke held her hand and said gently, "Come on, Miya. It's a great opportunity. We have to make good use of it. If we can please Xenon Uba, we won't need to worry about the orders and the capital. We can have our wedding soon and have enough money for your mum's surgery. It's been delayed for too long." Touched, tears filled Miya's eyes. She nodded and said gratefully, "Thank you, Luke." "I feel bad, you know, as her son-in-law to be, that I haven't got the money for her surgery. I Wish.." Luke continued, sounding rather remorseful. You've been doing your best, Luke," Miya said tearfully. For the past two years since she graduated from university, Miya had been to numerous meetings as such. She had never ever liked it. In fact, she loathed it, the filthy and perverted looks she received, the dirty talks she had to listen to, and even some improper physical contact she had to accept silently. However, she needed the money for her mother's surgery. Luke is right. This is a great chance. Luke had told her that they only needed to work hard for a few years and the company would be successful, and they would have the money for a grand wedding, and she would retire if she wanted to, and she could live a peaceful life while looking after her mother without worrying about money and work. He had depicted a wonderful picture of their future life to her, and she believed in it. Fortune Construction Company had grown a lot in the past two. years and was rather well known in City X, but compared to the Uba Corporation, it was just a speck in the business field. Everyone, including Mr Agabus, greeted Xenon courteously. Miya looked up to meet Xenon's gaze, and she was shocked. "It's you?! You are Xenon Uba?!" Isn't he the man that slept with me. last night?! Xenon lifted his brows and sneered slightly, "You are desperate for men, aren't you?" Miya blushed terribly. This is an insult! What does he think I am?! However, she knew she shouldn't ever displease Xenon Uba. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Uba." She ignored his insult and said . "Haven't we met already? I think it was a very delicious meeting last night." Xenon nurmured, teasing cruelly. Hearing Xenon's words, Miya turned pale. What did he mean? Last night was a mistake! Even the morning kiss. Everyone sat down while the seat next to Xenon was unoccupied. "Why is no one sitting here?" Xenon asked, pointing to the empty seat. Remembering how Xenon carried Miya away in his arms last night, Mr Agabus suggested instantly, "Miya, why don't you sit over there? You are the only lady here. Ladies first" Startled, Miya looked up at Luke immediately, but he just smiled and nodded at her, "Right. Miya, why don't you sit next to Mr. Xenon Uba?" Miya sat stiffly next to Xenon and looked worried. "Why are you scared?" Xenon leaned close to her intentionally and whispered to her. Miya kept her head low and fixed her eyes on the floor silently. Just stay quiet and ignore him. She told herself. Xenon moved his hand off the table onto Miya's leg under the table. He remained an indifferent look while stroking her leg playfully. Miya's heart was beating nervously fast. "Mr. Uba... Please, don't." She pleaded quietly. Xenon ignored her pleading and placed his hand back on her leg. He wasn't interested in any of Luke's cooperation proposals. The more eager Luke had shown, the more daring Xenon's hand grew under the table. He moved it up to Miya's leg from her knee towards her inner thigh and advanced upwards. About a half hour later, everyone was rather drunk except Miya and Xenon, who only had a few sips. Luke winked at Mr Agabus, and Mr Agabus suggested, "Mr. Uba, we have booked a room in a hotel nearby, and I wonder if you.." Xenon glanced at Miya and replied shortly, "I never stay at any hotels except The Uba Hotel." That's where we slept last night! Miya was startled. "Ah, of course. How inconsiderate lam." Mr Agabus apologized. "It's such a pleasure and honor meeting you tonight, and I hope we will have more cooperation to come. I wish you good night, Mr. Uba." He stood up to shake Xenon's hand and said goodbye. Other big bosses understood and bade Xenon goodbye. So, now there was only Luke, Miya, and Xenon left. "Would you two like to stay at the Uba Hotel tonight?" Xenon asked casually. Miya shook her head instantly, but Luke replied with a smile, "It will be our honor, Mr. Uba. Thank you." "Sure. Will you have your driver take us to the hotel, Luke?" "No problem." When the car arrived, Luke got in and sat at the front. Miya hesitated and wanted to ask Luke to sit at the back. Xenon noticed it, so he sneered and said, "Why? Are you scared to sit at the back with me, Miya Warren?" "Don't be silly, Miya." Luke reminded her. Helplessly, Miya sat at the back but leaned towards the window to keep a distance from Xenon. His seductive voice whispered next to her ear, "Are you being shy now? You were moaning and crying out loud with pleasure last night, asking for more." Miya clenched her skirt tight. She wanted to escape but dared not. She knows that Xenon is just bugging her but she still feels affected. As soon as the car pulled over outside the Uba Hotel, Miya jumped out of the car and held Luke's arm to seek protection. However, Luke said apologetically, "Miya, I left the contract at the club. I shall go back to get it. Why don't you go to the hotel with Mr. Xenon Uba first? I will be back soon." "Luke, I will go with you," Miya said hurriedly. She sounded frightened. Can't Luke see what Xenon is plotting? She held onto Luke tight. Xenon watched with a smile. "You must be tired. Go and get some rest, I will be back soon." Luke spoke gently and planted a kiss on Miya's forehead. Unwillingly, Miya let him go. As soon as he got back in the car, the driver drove off immediately. Even the driver knew what was going on. Miya stood there helplessly, watching the car leave. Her heart was racing nervously.
