Author POV
After Angga and Aisyah returned, Risa immediately opened a present from all of them. 16 years he lived only at this time he got many happy birthday wishes and gifts too, Risa's happiness for this day really was not revealed as evidenced by a smile that never disappeared from his lips.
"I want to open a present from grandmother first." Risa said while taking Grandma's gift box.
Zahra and grandmoter Rianty, who were sitting near Risa, smiled at the cheerful behavior they had just seen this time. That certainly makes Zahra and grandmother Rianty really feel happy.
When it opened it turned out that the gift box contained a light blue veil. Risa immediately took it and tried it but a cloth fell from the fold of the hijab, the fabric had the same color as the hijab.
"Why is there cloth left over from making a veil, also Grandma" asked Risa.
Grandma and Zahra just smiled at Risa's words. Then both of them looked at Risa who still looked confused while turning around the cloth which she called the rest of the making of the veil.
"This is not the cloth left, baby, but this is a purdah or veil (cadar)"
said Rianty's grandmother while touching the purdah or veil (cadar) that was still in Risa's hand.
"purdah or veil ...?" Risa said as if she guessed the use of a cloth called purdah or a veil.
"Here, let aunt wear it of you" Zahra said while taking the purdah or veil and pairing it to Risa.
"Grandma accidentally bought it, I thought the veil was not a set with a veil but it turned out to be a set, so yes, grandma gave it to you" Grandma said explaining how veils could be given to her.
"But you are suitable for wearing this veil, hopefully someday you will be like this"
Zahra said that she had finished putting her purdah or veil on Risa.
While Risa is just silent there is no sentence coming out of her mouth. The girl seemed to be still confused about the function of the purdah or veil, why her face had to be covered with a cloth called this veil, what if later someone who knew her would not know her if she used a veil. Maybe it's a series of questions that raged on Risa's head.
'Why does it feel calm,' thought Risa.
"Aamiin, but yes don't think about the purdah or veil that is important you like or not with a his veil" Rianty's grandmother said when she saw Risa silent.
"really like " Risa answered, who suddenly returned excited after a long pause.
"From ka Zahra now" she said then took Zahra's gift box.
Risa immediately opened the gift paper package given by Zahra without bothering to let go of the veil and gift purdah or veil from Rianty's grandmother.
"Thank God, finally there are people who are sensitive too, if Risa wants to buy more shoes"
Risa said with an expression, surprised, and also delighted as if was fused into one.
Hearing that, Zahra and Rianty's grandmother suddenly giggled. Risa really has changed a little now, the girl looks more cheerful than usual. The girl immediately hugged Zahra as an expression of thanks.
"Thank you, aunt" said Risa still in Zahra's arms
"Yes, your well come" Zahra answered while releasing their arms.
Enthusiastically, Risa immediately tried her shoes, she looked smiling seen from her narrowed eyes when Zahra's shoes were beautifully attached to her.
After that, Risa immediately opened a gift from her uncle. Apparently his uncle gave Risa a black mukena gift with a picture of white flowers. His smile returned, his uncle always knew what he liked and today on the day she was born, he gave Risa a birthday present due to mukena color black, his favorite color.
For a moment happy feelings turn into emotional feelings. Risa was touched when she saw a gift from Dimas for the umpteenth time. Dimas was very attentive without being asked to give Risa Mukena because she knew that all this time, Risa had always used ex-Zahra mukena.
It turned out that all this time, Risa had mistakenly thought no one cared about him, but it turned out that there was always his uncle who always stood behind him to become his amplifier. Risa always mistakenly thinks that no one can understand it but in reality there is always an uncle who always supports it.
Aware of the change in Risa's attitude, Rianty's grandmother immediately approached Risa, grandmother outstretched hand to caress Risa's head, which was still covered in a veil.
"He always loves you even though sometimes his attitude always makes you upset and annoyed" Said Rianty's grandmother.
Risa looked up her head and looked at the eyes of a twilight woman who was her grandmother, Risa shortened their distance and then hugged her grandmother's body happily.
"Risa also loves uncle Dimas grandma" answered Risa still hugging Rianty.
"Well, that's how it is if you love uncle say, don't be shy"
The voice suddenly appeared to join in the emotional atmosphere that was being created. Risa, Zahra, and grandmother Rianty turned to the origin of the sound and found Dimas standing with a smile.
"but lying" Risa answered coldly.
Dimas laughs at Risa's words, behind Risa's attitude like this that Dimas knows that Risa loves her. Even though he was always cold, Dimas knew that there was a great feeling of affection in Risa's heart for him who would express it in his own way.
Then Risa opened a gift which he thought was a gift from Ayesha. When it turned out that it was the Al-Qur'an, Risa did not expect Aisyah who only knew her a few days ago, while showed her love. Why? Because he gave Risa a gift the Al-Qur'an so that Risa did not forget the obligation to read the Al -Qur'an and draw close to God.
Then Risa's eyes stared at the gift box which was the smallest of the others. Risa's smile, when she remembered that it was a gift from Amel. When she opened the gift box inside, there were two hangers which were emoticons that expressed smiles and laughs
and there is a piece of paper in it.
Happy Birthday my friend.
Sorry I didn't show up all day on campus, but don't blame me. Just blame Uncle Dimas and Angga because they told me to do it. Hihi.
Risa maybe I'm not the best friend for you but I will try to be a good friend always.
Oh yeah, you know why I would rather give you a gift of an emoticon hanger that looks cheap, first because I'm sure you will get an expensive gift from grandma, uncle Dimas, Sis Zahra and others. Second because I am always happy when I see you smile and laugh.
You know that every smile painted on your lips is my smile because your smile is my smile. Likewise, when you laugh, it will become my laughter. Conversely, if you are sad, it is my sadness too.
I intentionally only gave you a smiley emoticon hanger and laughed without giving a sad expression hanger because I just wanted to see you smile and laugh not cry.
I loves you Risa.
Your best friend
Amelia.
Risa smiled at the fragments of words written on a sheet of paper. His eyes were hot, why did she new realize that many people that loved him, one of them Amel. I love you too Amel, you will always be my best friend, the reason I smile and laugh every day. Risa thought.
Risa returned Amel's prize in the first box, because the prize from Risa was the simplest gift when viewed from the price but it would look the most special when viewed from the way it was given.
There is only one gift box left on the table. Risa's hand reaches for him, who according to Risa is a gift from Angga.
Risa opened it immediately and found a fold of black cloth, a big question mark on Risa's head why Angga gave her a black cloth. It turns out that when opened it was a black abaya complete with a veil and --
"A sermon or a veil again?" Risa said behind a veil that still covered a part of her face given by Rianty's grandmother who she had not opened.
"What's wrong with people? Why does compact give me purdah or veil" murmured Risa.
"maybe it's time you use it" Dimas said casually.
Risa saw Dimas full of question marks? but I don't know what to ask. Because he doesn't know anything about purdah or a veil, see the shape and hear the name new now.
"You are suitable to use this purdah or veil" Dimas said who was sitting next to Risa
"but wait" Dimas said while standing up and pulling Risa's hand to his feet.
"The head and feet can be good, but when you wear a nightgown" Dimas says and Risa is confused.
"I want to sleep, uncle" Said Risa while pinching Dimas.
"Aww," Dimas shouted and continued with Dimas laughter, Zahra and Rianty's grandmother.
"But Angga, sweet, also gave you Abaya, that's the code that she doesn't want her future wife to be in liatin, which is not mahrom," Dimas said.
"future wife, future wife. Future wife from Hong Kong"
Risa answered in an irritated tone.
Dimas, Zahra and grandmother Rianty just laugh at Risa's words. The girl always becomes a comedian if she collects and discusses Angga.
"Come on, you have to try it, I want to see you wearing clothes like this, definitely beautiful , uncle's niece," Dimas said.
There was no refusal from Risa, she immediately went to the room to change her clothes.
Not long after, Risa came out with a black Abaya covering her body and a black veil covering her head.
"use the purbah or his veil," Dimas said.
"Here, let your aunt help you set it up again," Zahra said when she saw Risa who had a little difficulty
"You are so beautiful, if Angga sees for sure he will add love to you" Dimas said when he saw the part of Risa's face covered in a veil or purdah.
"Don't start uncle" Risa said irritably.
Again, Dimas just laughed when he saw Risa who was upset because of his own actions.
