Why Jack?

Paris's POV “What did I do? Why are you doing this?” I ask  “He was mine till you jumped in and took him. Why would you take what is mine?” The voice says  I don’t understand why I would take something that is someone’s. “Who are you talking  about?” I ask them  “Who else? Your boyfriend!” She says to me “If you think I’m taking him of his own free will by far go ahead and go for it. I would never make Jack stay with me.” I say to them  “Oh believe me I will.” She says to me as she kicks me one more time in the ribs.  Man this is going to hurt. Why didn’t anyone hear what happened? I try to get up and fall to the ground. Why was she asking about Jack? If he was with someone I would never be with him. “Why are the lights on? Maybe the girls went out? Aunty Lisa asks “I’m going to check on Paris. She never goes out but she never leaves the lights on since she hates the light.” I hear Uncle Stev say  My savior.  “Paris did you leave the light on? Maybe she is sleeping?” I hear him say as he is about to leave.  I grab a vase near my side drawer and crack the vase on the ground. I hear uncle's footsteps and my door open. “Paris!” I hear him say as I blackout  I wake up and my body is sore.  “Paris Paris are you okay?” Uncle Stev says  “What happened?” I ask him  “We came home and you were lying on the ground beat up. Who did this?” He asks  “I don’t know I was sleeping and I heard my door open and then the next thing this happened to me.” I say back to him confused “Why did this happen to me? Did we get robbed?” I ask  He looks at me sadly and says, “No one has broken into the house. It’s as if no one was here.  “What?” I ask  Impossible I know someone was here and I know I did not do this to myself.  “I am sorry I could not protect you, Paris. If I knew this would happen I would’ve stayed home.” He said to me  “Uncle it is not your fault. I need to get up and go home. Don’t worry I will be okay I promise.” I say to my uncle.  “Elios” Uncle says to me as a few of my scars and scratches heal up.  “I may not do much for you but I can do a little.” He says to me as I pack my stuff and walk out the door.  Almost home almost there. Almost there a little bit more. My body is aching and I feel like my right eye has swollen shut. Once again I ask myself why now? Why me? And why Jack?  I walk up to the corner of my house and see the stranger there again. I walk slowly and lower my head. I place the leftover food on my stairs and start walking up. He grabs my wrist and I flinch back since his arm rubbed against my side.  “What happened to you?” He asks  “ Oh just a bad fight, nothing more don’t worry about it.” I say to him I walk up my stairs and then straight to my door. As soon as I open my door I see stars and black out.  How did I get into my room? I look down and see my wounds have been wrapped and cleaned and bandages. Who did this? I get up and see a glass of water and drink that water and then knock back out again.  “Paris Paris wake up!” I hear Danny yelling.  I look at him and just sigh.  “What time is it?” I ask  “It’s Monday and you missed school. I was worried.” He says “Monday? How have I been out for 2 days?” I ask  “2 days? Oh my gosh Paris I am so sorry I should’ve checked up on you yesterday I am the worst friend ever.” Danny says to me “No it’s okay I’m fine” I say to him  “No you are not! What happened?” He asks  “Long story short a few girls beat me up in my house when I was sleeping at my Uncle's house.” I say to Danny “Whattttttttt! When I find out who did this I will kill them!” He says  “No point. I will stay home from school and work for a few days and then I’ll go back. I need the break anyways.” I say to him  “Okay I brought your homework and assignments from our other classes.” He says to me “Have you seen Jack? He hasn’t called me and I haven’t seen him since he must be worried.” I ask him  He gives me a weird look and then says, “No not since the party.”  Hmm that is a look I will ask him about later.  “The party? Jack went to your party?” I asked him  “Yeah he didn't tell you?  To be honest he’s been to maybe about 2 or 3 of my parties I thought you would have known.” he says to me I never would have thought he would go. I mean I am not against it, but I would never think he would not tell me. And to make matters worse it’s not just one but about 2 more. Has our communication really fallen? I mean we see each other at school and talk to each other there and we both work so why now?  And why is this happening after that girl came to my house and said she would take him? If Jack ever wanted to be with someone else I would never stop him. If someone cares about another they would never need to think twice about things like this. That’s what I truly believe in. So if he ever wanted to be with someone else I would let him go.
