Paris's POV
I text Jack asking where he is at and then start cooking dinner. Danny stays and we do a few assignments and then watch a few cooking shows and he leaves. Still no text back from Jack. I hope everything is okay.
Day 3 and no word from Jack. Every time I bring up Jack Danny says he’s been at school and doesn’t know why he hasn’t messaged me back. Did I do something wrong? Maybe it was that girl. Maybe she really did get Jack back and she had him before and maybe I did take him away from her. I’m such a horrible person I would never want to break a relationship up.
But it has been 2 years! Why now? Uncle calls me everyday making sure that I’m okay. By the way, uncle is not my real uncle well by marriage he is but not blood. Aunty Lisa is my mom's sister but she doesn't care for me like my parents didn’t. This week I promised I would go to Jack's football game and Danny’s party. I hope to see Jack there.
Maybe I will stop trying to contact him and see what happens at his game. I cook some spaghetti and walk downstairs to find the stranger. As always he is down there just staring at the moon.
“Hi Stranger. I made us dinner. I’m not feeling so good right now so I wanted to have dinner with someone. Would you like to join me?” I ask him
He sits next to me and starts eating.
“Was this you?” I ask pointing to my bandage and cuts.
He nods and acknowledges me
“Thank you. You've saved me and I appreciate it.” I say to him
“What happened?” He asks me
“Well… I tell him about my life, my problems and everything I wanted to get off my shoulders. He never said anything and just listened. He’s a pretty good listener and I enjoy his time. I don’t know why but I feel comfortable talking to him about this.
“Thank you for listening to me. You’re probably bored by now listening to a high school girls drama.” I say to him and laugh
“My name is Mars.” He says to me
“You know your name? Are you getting your memory back?” I ask
“Little by little.” He says to me
“That’s good! Maybe you will find your home and know where you are from. Omg Mars what if you have a family and a wife and children? What would you do?” I ask him
“I think I am too young for that but no matter what, my feelings will never change.” He says to me.
“Well that girl is one lucky woman. I’m going to sleep. Good night Mars.” I say to him
“Good night Paris” I hear him say
“Little does she know. I will never leave her side.” Mars says
Day 5 and I am fully healed. I don’t know how but every morning I wake up with new bandages and ointment on my scars. It’s probably Mars but I don’t mind if he saved me. Even though some people would think that is creepy. Work has been slow so they are okay with me not going to work.
Danny comes everyday to catch up with homework with me and no word from Jack. He has still been going to school but he looks super gloomy from what Danny has been telling me. Maybe I did something wrong or said something to him?
I leave with Danny to go watch a movie and come back. I see the stranger but he looks occupied so I start going up my stairs when I feel arms wrap around me.
Oh it’s Mars. Is something wrong?
“Are you hungry? Do you want to take a shower?” I ask him.
“Shower?” Mars asks
We walk to my apartment and I point to the bathroom and he looks at me weird. Maybe he wants a bath. I walk to the bathroom and he follows me. I point to the tub and still he doesn’t react to what I am saying.
“This is the toilet where you use the bathroom.” I say to him as I sit down pretending to go to the bathroom and flush the toilet.
He runs to me pushing me off and hiding me from the toilet. Okay that was weird.
“This is the bathtub.” I say while turning the water on for him and getting the bath ready for him.
He touches the water and looks at it weird. Maybe it’s been so long since he’s showered he doesn’t remember. Poor guy. I get a towel out for him and check to see if I have extra big sweats and a t- shirt. When I walk back and knock on the door I see him sitting on the toilet still watching the water.
“So it looks like I will need to help you out. You can take off your clothes and then I will help wash you.” I say to him.
Is he staring at me expecting me to take off his clothes? I walk over to him and take his clothes off little by little. I run bubbles in the water so that it makes things less awkward. I point to the tub and he sits in it. At least that works. I slowly scrub his skin and wash his hair. Man this guy was dirty.
“At least you are clean now. I am going to get clothes for you and then you can dry off here.” I say to him as I place the towel on the toilet for him.
I’m happy he knew what to do from there as he started to get up and dry himself. And extra points: I had bigger sweats and a t- shirt that Jack left one day. Jack. I miss him so much. I hope whatever is going on is worth it because I’m just fed up.
Anyways as Mars gets ready in the bathroom I start cooking some fried noodles with spam and rice. I hope he likes this since I don’t have much and I’d rather choose spam than any type of other meat anyway.
I see Mars walk out and man does he look cute. I didn’t realize how handsome he is. I hold my blush and let him join me on the table. We talk and enjoy dinner when I hear my doorbell.
“Jack! What are you doing here?” I ask
