I don't have a father

James was trying to take some chili his mother just made when he heard Tristan's voice, he put down the plate gently and looked out the window. He saw Lily standing in front of him, James heart raced as he listened to their conversation. The young man's heart stopped for a second when she pushed herself forward and kissed Tristan, he breathe out sharply and looked away. His hands shiver as he returned to his room. Tristan held her arms and released his mouth from hers, he pushed her away gently, "what are you doing?... Why did you do that?" he said almost snappily. She couldn't explain why and how she did it but it felt right, "I...i...don't" "Go home..." Tristan said interuptedly and turned to leave, he was a little bit angry because he never imagined his first kiss to be that weird, and with someone he does not love. "Tristan", He stopped and looked back at her, "don't do what you just did again or I would really stop talking to you... I like you as a friend and nothing more, whatever you are thinking can not work between us" he said and walked in. She shut her eyes and shudder, "what should I do?". James got to his room and hit the wall hard, making his fist bleed, not feeling the pain at that moment. He groaned out and stooped, his eyes turned red and teary, "I am not going to cry over some b***h" he said and stood upright. He heard Tristan's door getting shut, James opened his door gently and hesitated before walking towards his door, he breathed in and out and smiled before knocking on the door. "It is opened" James heard and got in, "hey," he said. Tristan saw his brother and sit on the bed, he thought about the kiss and felt bad, he knows James wouldn't be happy if he heard or have seen them. The young man let out a sigh and fake smiled, "you were sleeping when I stepped out... Nick asked of you" he said. James noticed the smile was not real but he ignored it and looked out the window, "I knew when you were going, just did not want to follow you" he said and looked at Tristan who seemed lost in thought, "that cottage freaks me out, the men freak me out too" he laughed. Tristan was not paying attention, he replied with a soft smile. "Do you think we should shop for new clothes? We would be meeting celebrities and be around them for almost two days, we should dress good... Maybe get some nice suit, so they would think we are some prince too" James suggested. Tristan loved the idea, he gave James a thumb up and fell on the bed, "We should do that" he replied. James clapped his hands together, "Prince Larry, his friends and family, great people, dad friends" he said and chuckled loudly, "I can not wait... I am sure there would be girls there to" he added and waited for Tristan’s reaction. Tristan looked at him confused, "what about Lily? You... I thought you liked her". The young man bluffed out, "Nah, I am sure there would be hotter girls at the cruise ship, I would forget about Lily in no time" said James. Tristan sighed and wondered why he has a change of mind, he stood up and looked at his brother, "I want to shower, are you going to wait there?" He said and walked in his closet, "I walk around naked after my shower" he said out loud. James laughed out, "well I like seeing naked boys", he said and heard no response from Tristan for a short while. Tristan peeped at James from his closet, "what?... Get out" he said and watched his brother walked out, "weirdo" he shook his head and laughed softly. The young man stopped laughing and looked back, "did he by chance saw the kiss?" he thought and removed his shirt, "I can not believe my first kiss was awkward as fuck..." he rolled his eyes and pulled off his trousers, "ughhhhh!!!". ----------------------- Nick heard the laughter coming from outside, only one person laugh that way, he rolled his eyes as Nate and Mitchell walked in still laughing. Nate saw him and smiled widely, "Hey it's my man Nick," he said and walked towards him, putting his hand across his neck and sitting next to him, "you miss me?" he asked. "What are you? My cigarette? Or apple pie?" Nick replied and smiled at Mitchell, "hey" he replied. Nate smirked and shifted away from him, "Boring... I missed you though, sorry I did not call you yesterday, we were so drunk that I forgot to call anyone or answer the phone" he said smiling at Mitchell. Nick saw them and figured something was happening, he folded his arms and stared at them, "spill it" he said. Mitchell laughed loudly, "Nate.. You should tell him”. "No baby, tell him" he replied and gasped, "that sounds so perfect to say". Nick watched both of them guffawed, he understood immediately "baby? When did you two start dating? Just yesterday? Y'all f****d and decide you are dating?" he asked still confused. "Well yes we are dating now and yes we f****d, what is your deal? Are you happy for us or not", Mitchell said sharply. Nick looked at Nate and laughed out, more like a mocking laugh, he stood up and entered the kitchen still laughing, "my man has a girlfriend" he said out loud and laughed harder. Nate could not understand why he was laughing, Nick has always been telling him to get a girlfriend and now he has one and he is acting weird, he ignored Nick and grabbed a cigarette "what is so funny Nick, I am hungry did you cook?" he asked and heard no response, the man looked back and saw Nick staring at him from afar, "What man? you are scaring me... What is your problem". "Ignore him, Nate, he acts like a child most of the time", Mitchell said. Nick never thought they would end up together, he shook his head and brought out the half vodka from the shelf, "we should celebrate it guys..." he said and returned to his seat, "let us celebrate your togetherness after so many years" he said smiling. Nate looked at him for a while and took the alcohol from him, "are you high?... You only act weird when you are high" he said and poured himself some vodka. Suddenly Nate and Mitchell saw two half naked girls coming out of the room, they both looked at Nick. “What? What would an horny man do?” he said and winked at the girls as they walked out. “I see you put them to sleep...” Nate said smiling proudly, “I trust you... they would be back tomorrow...” he said looking at Nick who blew out cigarettes smoke. “Bet”, Nick answered as he puffed more cigarettes, he looked at Mitchell and saw her cleaves popping out, he smiled and saw Nate looking at him, “what? Blame my eyes,” he said and laughed out. “Not cool man, she is my lady,” said Nate. “Yeah yeah... Hmm,” he replied. ------------------------ Mrs. Charles turned the doorknob and entered his room, James jumped and looked at his mom. “Really mom? You are just going to enter my room without knocking?” he said and pushed his phone under the duvet. The woman figured he was not doing something right but that was not important at that moment. “Get dressed and come out”, she said and turned to leave. “Where are we going? I am in the middle of something and I do not feel like going out mom... Go without me”, James said and lay on his bed. “Get up now and meet me outside, I can not be waiting for you,” she said and walked out. James groaned out and grabbed his phone, “I was almost there” he said and stared at the porn star on his phone screen,” I am coming back for you” he said and licked his phone screen “hmm”. “James” He heard his name and hurried up, the young man grabbed his jacket and put it on before walking out angrily. “Where are we going mom”, he said as he got out. The woman looked around and held his hand, “do not raise your voice, let us go” she replied. Isabella saw them from her window and wondered where they were going without the car. James and the woman walked down the street and she wouldn't stop looking back to see if they were not being followed. James stopped and looked at his mom, “ok what is going on and where are we going?” he asked and immediately saw a car parked beside them, the young man prayed it is not who he was thinking at that moment, he stared at his mom “what is going on?” he said and saw the man coming out of the car. He recognized him at once, they have the same eyes and same color of hair. “You don't look happy to see your father, James” the man said smiling. The man was not too close but James could smell spilled alcohol and cigarette coming from him, he scoffed and turned to his mother, “are we really doing this? This is why you called me out?..” he said and looked away, “i would be going”. The woman wanted to talk but the man had held James arm, he frowned at his son “Is that how to act to your own father” he roared. The young man flung his hand and smiled pitifully, “my father would never ask his own wife to marry another man because of his own selfish interest...” Mrs. Charlie gasped, she covered her mouth and looked at her husband. “You sold me out ever since we walked away from your house, I do not have a father” James added, he looked at his mother and walked away angrily. The man watched his son walk away, he smiled and looked at his wife “What have you been telling our son huh?” he said and walked towards her angrily, “tell me!!!”.
