Minch Island

The day has finally come, the Charlie family all got ready to meet others at the meetup venue. Tristan sat at the back of the car with his siblings, seen on his blue fitted suit. If people don't look closely, he would be mistaken with the Prince of England himself. Isabella smiled at him, the young man saw her and smiled back. “You look good too”, he said. Isabella shook her head and moved closer to him, “have you seen yourself?” she whispered and giggled. They finally got to the cruise, reporters and celebrities has arrived, cameras flashing at them. Prince larry was spotted taking pictures with his wife, he smiled and waved to some citizens around them. “Oh my! That is prince Larry”, James said excitedly as they all came down. The Charlie family walked towards the prince as the camera flashed at them, Isabella stopped and posed for the camera, the prince saw her and smiled widely. He stretched his arm toward Mr. Charlie, “I am glad you could make it” he said and greeted his whole family, he saw Tristan and for a reason, he like how he look so reserved. “This must be Tristan” the Prince said and walked away from James who was trying hard to have a conversation with him. Mrs. Charlie scoffed and looked away, trying not to show how angry she was because of the cameras flashing at them. “Yes that is Tristan” Mr. Charlie replied smiling. The Prince moved towards Tristan and put his arms around him, “you have grown so tall now, I remember when you were so little... You would run to me just to shake my hands, look at you” he said and laughed with Mr. Charlie. He turned Tristan's face to the camera as the reporters took their pictures, the invitees all walked into the cruise and the prince waved to the citizens as they set off. Tristan and his family all sat with the prince and his family, others were seated at different tables. They were all dining and conversing about the Island, James had so many questions to ask the prince. He cleared his throat and looked at the prince, “how did you locate the island Prince Larry?” he asked boldly as everyone's eyes were on him, his eyes were fixed at the prince. He smiled and put down the fork he was using to eat, “It is a long story my dear... I woke up and decided I want an island” he said and most people on the table laughed at his joke. Tristan was not too comfortable with a lot of people around him, he shifted his chair backward and stood up, “I want to use the restroom” he said looking at his dad. One of Mr. Charlie’s friends watched Tristan walked away, he smiled at his friend and said “your son is all grown up, when will he start helping with the company? He is grown enough to handle things himself, my son has started working as the CEO of my company in Australia, and I am sure Tristan is older than him” Mr. Charlie smiled and nodded, “pretty soon” he replied and kept eating. Mrs. Charlie who has been listening stopped eating and looked at James, “Why are they all concerned about Tristan and not my son” she thought and picked up the glass of wine in front of her, “hmmm” she said and drank it all. Tristan went out of the dining hall and got to the front deck, he felt the ocean breeze on his skin, he closed his eyes and spread his arms, welcoming the cold breeze. “Are you Tristan?” Tristan heard and turned back, he saw a boy of his age sitting down on a chair while looking up at the sky. “Yes, do you know me?” the young man asked curiously. The boy smiled and looked at Tristan, “I see you forget things so fast” he replied and stood up, he moved towards Tristan and gave him a warm smile “You forgot about me already? John from kindergarten?” he said and waited for his reaction but he got nothing. Tristan looked lost, he scratched his head softly “I am sorry, I am not good at keeping memories... Were we close?” he asked. John nodded yes and looked at the beautiful ocean view, “this is the first time I would be at an event like this one... I barely go out” he said and laughed softly, “it is not that I can not go out yeah? But I just don't want to...” he added and looked at Tristan standing beside him, “you are really all grown and more handsome... I am sure you have a lot of girls around you”. Tristan scoffed, “I do not... I don't believe in having a girlfriend” he replied and put his hands in his pocket, “I am too busy to be fallen in love” he added. “Have you started helping your dad in his company?” John asked. Tristan shook his head, “Not yet” he answered and sighed, “I honestly don't know, I am nervous about it... Have you?” he asked John who was now looking into the ocean. “Yes, I got back to England last week, I live in Australia... I handle dad's company now and trust me it is not an easy job but I have to do it... I am the only son” he said and smiled. Tristan wished he remember John but he couldn't seem to, he sighed and gave him no response. John looked at him and smiled, “You got tired of the adult conversation also right?” he asked and noticed Tristan's hand in his pocket, he did the same and looked straight. “Yeah...” Tristan replied. “Same... It is boring, I can not wait to get to the island though, I heard it is so beautiful...” John said excitedly. Tristan nodded and looked straight. “How does he look so cool without trying”, John whispered to himself. After a long while, the two boys got in after the breeze got colder than earlier, Tristan looked for the staterooms his family would be staying in, he opened the door and met his dad and mom sitting on the bed, having a conversation. He ignored them and walked to the door that led to the second room. “Where have you been? You did not return to the dining” Mrs. Charlie asked. Tristan turned back and looked at his dad, “I was outside with John” he replied. “Oh, you remember John? Wow that is amazing, you guys were besties back in kindergarten” Mr. Charlie said excitedly. “Why don't I remember him then? Ughhh” Tristan thought, “I would be in the room now,” he said and entered. He saw James and Isabella conversing and laughing, they saw Tristan and stopped talking. “Tristan!!! Where have you been?” Isabella asked worriedly and hurried to him, he lifted her and kissed her cheek “you didn't get to eat the yummy crab” she added. “I got tired of adult talk,” he said and sat on the bed, putting her to sit on his thigh. James scoffed, “Old man... You would still be head of one of the dad companies, will you leave then?” He asked. “Probably”, Tristan answered. ----------------------- Mrs. Charlie looked beside her and noticed her husband has slept off, “honey are you asleep?” she said, making sure her husband was fully asleep. She stood up and walked gently to the door, looking back to make sure he is not awake. The woman turned the door knob gently and opened the door, she looked back again before walking out. Walking down the hallway, she got to one of the door and knocked on it gently, looking around to make sure no one was following her, suddenly a hand pulled her in and locked the door. “You scared me” she said looking at the man standing in front of her. “I have been staying in here for hours, why did you keep me waiting?” the man asked. She saw the food on his table and shook her head, “at least be appreciative.. I got you a room here and food, do you think it is easy”, she said. He grabbed her neck and pushed her to the door, “shut up” he said and choked her right, “How dare you talk back”. The woman flung his hand off her, “You are hurting me” she groaned softly. The man scoffed and walked away from her, “I can only do that to you, no one else... Now you better act well and I hope your plan work or else... I will really leave you this time... You are wasting too much time” he said looking at her from across the room. “It will work... I have to get back inside, I don't want him to wake up and realize I am not in” she said, waiting for his approval. He waved her bye and watched her leave, he took the half wine in his glass and took it all, the man threw the cup at the wall angrily, “I will crush Charlie family”.
